Is the New Video iPod Coming?

This news is actually 2 days old (from CNN.COM) and we all heard this rumor since last year. But from one analyst who tracks the company said that the 60GB video iPod may be discontinued or replaced at the end of April. Is this means that Apple will come out the new model to replace the 60GB video iPod? I do think there is a new model at work but since Apple is always very good at keeping secret. Guess we will know the truth at the end of April.

New Sony MZ-RH1 Hi-MD Recorder

So the MiniDisc is not dead. Sony Japan just announced the new Hi-MD model MZ-RH1. It will be available on April 21, 2006. This new model can upload non-Hi-MD audio via USB, also features 6 bans EQ and OLED display.

The new W300i music phone from Sony Ericsson offer 256MB memory stick micro and USB cable for connecting to your PC, plus a stereo headset. I was supprised that Sony add bluetooth support for this model. It has monochrome external display and 128*160 color LCD screen inside. Of course you can change the cover too. Apple - iPod Hi-Fi is Here

OK. This might be the biggest news today. The new iPod Hi-Fi is here. It delivers crystal clear, audiophile quality sound in a clean, compact design (at least that's what Apple said). It sells for $349 and is available right now at www.apple.com. By the way, you can use "D" battery or AC adapter to power this thing. Where is new video iPod anyway?

NASA's Stardust Space Probe

After traveling 2.88 billion miles, The NASA's Stardust space probe will release the 100 lb. capsule carrying the samples of Comet Wild 2. If there is any problem or delay, scientists will have to wait up to another 4 years for Stardust to make another orbit around the sun. The Stardust should release the capsule at 1 a.m. ET on Sunday and the capsule will land on Utah around 4 hours later.

This is from Akihabara News. iRiver just announced the G10 for this year CES 2006. It's a player runs windows mobile 5 and will have both 4 and 8GB version. The screen will be 800*480 and this device will support 3D games. This might be the answer from iRiver to compete with PSP and GBA for the portable gaming market.
